Valentine’s Day is one of my very favorite holidays. It’s such a sweet day and SO much fun if you are a teacher! No one feels more loved on Valentine’s Day than a teacher! I love changing out station activities for the holidays! Here are a few of the valentine math activities I enjoyed with my Kindergarten and First Grade students around the holiday!
Conversation Heart Counting
Conversation hearts are a great math manipulative for Valentine’s Day! The Sweet Tart ones are the best! Students can practice sorting and counting the hearts by color! This printable page

Conversation Heart Graphing
After your students sort and count their conversation hearts, they will be ready to graph them! Graphing is a great math skill for little ones because it so concrete, hands-on and helps them practice many different concepts. Littles will be so excited for this fun graphing activity! Here are a few math skills that it will hit:
- Counting
- One to one correspondence
- Math vocabulary (more, less)
- Comparison of quantities
- Data collection and organization

Add and Color
Let’s just be honest! Sometimes you need your students to sit quietly and work on something! These add and color printable worksheets and perfect and fun! I love using them for morning work or an easy math activity!

Ten Frame Valentine Math Activities
Ten Frames are an important math tool and really enforce anchoring to ten. In this activity, students will count each color heart and write the matching addition sentence. A recording page is also included!
