Halloween Count and Write the Room Directions
- Access and print the Halloween Count and Write the Room. It will have everything you need for this activity! Each child participating in the activity will need a copy of the recording sheet.
- Cut out each of the ten frames and tape them around your classroom or home.
- Children will walk around the classroom or home and find each ten frame. They will find the matching picture on the recording sheet and write down the correct number. So for example, the ten frame that has candy corns has 7 candy corns. So they will find the candy corn picture on the recording page and write a 10 in the box. Clipboards are super helpful for this activity because little ones will be moving around the classroom or home.
- After students have completed the activity, count each ten frame and check the answers together using the answer key provided.
