Happy Fourth of July Weekend! Is it just me or did June just fly by! I can’t believe it’s already time to celebrate Independence Day!
Independence Day is always a special day to reflect on our country and all of the people who have fought for our freedoms. We are so blessed to live in the U.S.A.! I am looking forward to spending the weekend with my family grilling by the pool and watching fireworks. Of course I’m all about holiday decorating too, so I had to add a few red, white and blue touches throughout my house.
I’ll be totally honest, I have never put up a Christmas tree at a time other than Christmas and I’ve never had a white tree before. This tree is from Tree Classics and can be found HERE. I have been afraid of white trees because I didn’t want my house covered in white snow dust for weeks, but I LOVE this tree so much! It is pre-lit and so full and pretty! Really, this tree has over 1700 tips! I’m already dreaming of how I’m going to decorate this beautiful tree for Christmas. They have tons of other white trees to choose from too!
I created this topper with ribbon and floral from Hobby Lobby.
Even though it’s summer, I wanted to create a patriotic activity to do with my students this fall when we study national symbols. I’m all about getting ahead! This National Symbols QR Scavenger Hunt can be downloaded for FREE from Teachers Pay Teachers HERE. Students will scan each QR code and record the national symbol shown.
Happy Fourth y’all! : )
