Are you looking for the best Easter preschool activities to keep your class or little ones learning this spring? This post is a round-up of my very favorite preschool Easter centers and activities for Pre-K students.
Easter Preschool Sensory Play
Sensory play is so important and one of my favorite things to do with little ones. I love setting up simple sensory bins and activities for little ones. Sensory bins are just a fancy name for a bin of stuff that kids (or anyone) can touch, taste, smell, see, and/or hear.
Easter Play Dough Mats
Play dough makes an awesome sensory material for preschool students. You can make your own or use Play-Doh from a can. Playdough mats are great for little ones too! These Easter Egg Themed play dough mats focus on shapes! They are included in April Toddler Activities!
Easter Sensory Bin Ideas
First of all, if you are new to sensory bins, be sure to read this post: Getting Started with Sensory Bins. It will walk you through what a sensory bin is and how to set one up in your classroom or at home.
Here are a few favorite sensory bin items for Eater :
- Colored pom poms
- Easter Grass
- Easter Eggs
- Small spring animals like rabbits or chicks
- Pipe cleaners
- Fake flowers
Easter Preschool Centers
Preschoolers are focused on learning skills like colors, numbers, letters, and more! Here are a few fun Easter preschool activities that can be added to centers in your classroom or even used at home! Each of these activities is included inside Easter Pocket Chart Activities.
Easter Sentence Scramble
Sentence scrambles are one of my very favorite activities because they hit so many skills at once and feel like a little puzzle for your students. Sight words, sentence structure, and color words are just a few of the skills your students will be practicing!
This sentence scramble is perfect for preschoolers and even Kindergarten students who are just learning to read.
Easter Color Cards
Your students will love this Easter activity! Students will match colored objects to each color word! It’s simple and fun for little ones learning color words. It is one of the five-pocket chart activities inside of Easter Pocket Chart Activities.
Easter Letter Matching
For this activity, students will match the uppercase letter to its lowercase letter. A fun colored carrot visual is included to help younger students match the letters. It is one of the five-pocket chart activities inside of Easter Pocket Chart Activities.
Easter Clip Cards
These Easter Visual Discrimination Clip Cards are a great way to introduce letters and numbers to students in a non-intimidating way! Students will look at each letter or number and simply find the one that matches and clip a clothespin next to it. Using wooden clothespins is another way to build fine motor skills!
You can learn more about visual discrimination in this post, Why You Should Be Teaching Visual Discrimination.
I am EGGstra Special Writing Activity
I love a fun craft and writing activity for any holiday! This activity, I am EGGstra Special Craft and Writing Activity is perfect for Easter and students will love thinking about what makes them EGGstra special!
A few different writing options are included to meet the needs of students at various levels. Preschoolers can simply draw a picture of themselves or draw a picture of something that makes them extra special!
If you need an even simpler activity for preschool students and you teach in a Christian school check out this craft, God Made Me EGGstra Special.
Easter Egg Graphing
Raise your hand if you love a good Easter egg hunt! ME! ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Sorting and graphing Easter eggs by color is a great way to make your egg hunt educational for preschool students. If your students are ready to complete a simple graph independently or with adult help. You can download your own copy of this graph in this post, The Perfect, Printable Easter Egg Graph.
Easter Crafts
Preschoolers love making crafts! These easy Easter crafts are simple and don’t require a lot of preparation or materials. Your students will enjoy making them and also work on those important fine motor skills!
Easter Bunny Craft
I love an easy and cute bunny craft! Little ones will have so much fun making this finger-painting craft! Just let children paint a piece of paper (I like using this heavier paper.) Then just print out the bunny craft pieces from the April Toddler Activities set and you are good to go!
For extra fun, I used Easter scrapbook paper inside of the bunny ears! They turn out SO cute and make a great Easter art activity to use on a bulletin board!
Easter Egg Painting
It doesn’t get any easier than this! Simply open easter eggs and let little ones dip them in paint and use them for painting circles! My own preschooler absolutely loves painting with objects!
