I’m not going to lie. I’ve waited my entire life to do handprint and footprint crafts with my own baby. I’ve spent years in the classroom making sweet crafts with my students for their parents and it was so special to have my own little one to craft with. This post will walk you through exactly how to make your own Easter footprint craft.

How to Make an Easter Footprint Craft
- Choose a canvas. I chose a 5 by 7 inch canvas to be able to fit two small footprints and the words! You could use a bigger or smaller canvas. Canvases of many different sizes can be purchased at any craft store.
- Paint and stamp each child’s footprints. I recommend doing this one foot at a time and asking another adult to help. Carefully stamp each foot on the canvas and allow the paint to dry completely. Be sure to clean your baby’s foot carefully afterward.
- After the footprints are completely dry, paint the details. I used a tiny paintbrush to add bunny ears to the footprints. Then, I used green acrylic paint to add grass.
- Add the words to the canvas. I added the words with Modge Podge. Lettering isn’t my strong suit and stresses me out, so I just printed the words! You can grab them for free HERE. Don’t forget to add each child’s name and the year with a permanent marker!
- Next, use modge podge on the entire canvas and let it dry completely. This helps seal everything in and gives it the pretty finish!
- Finally, add the final details. I used this to draw on a mouth and whiskers. Then I used a small hot glue gun to add these tiny eyes and a tiny pom pom nose!
