It’s no secret that Amazon Prime basically powers our household and probably yours too. We have everything from dog food to toilet paper set up on Subscribe and Save. Recently, I started checking out Prime Video and looking into some of the videos included for kids! I wanted to share with you some of my favorites! At the time of publishing this post, all of these options are free to watch with an Amazon Prime Membership. Yes, FREE! If you aren’t an Amazon prime member, I am shocked! Use the link below to give it a try!
Here is a quick recommendation for you! Click each link and then add the video to your watch list! Then, they will be handy for you to watch with your kiddos!
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie: This series is based on the sweet book series by Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond. Your child will love seeing all of their favorite characters come to life! Each episode is around 23 minutes.
Chicka Chicka 123: This is a seven minute sing along video that goes with this popular book! Great for little ones learning numbers! There are actually tons of books on Amazon brought to life with videos. Definitely check out this one and this one too!
Clifford the Big Red Dog: This is HOT off the press! For real, it just came out this year! The Clifford books have been around forever and loved by kids for decades. They were originally published in the 1960’s! Each episode is 25 minutes and I love the old and new characters.
Old McDonald Had a Farm and More Kids Songs: Super Simple Songs has some of the best videos of kid songs! I have always just pulled them up individually on YouTube, so I was SO excited to find this video collection of many songs together! This is a perfect pick for a toddler who loves music. There is also this collection and this collection for your child to enjoy!
Pete the Cat: The Pete the Cat books came out when I started teaching Kindergarten and I will forever remember reading the books to my kindergarteners. I also had each book on CD and I loved hearing them sing along at the top of their lungs with their headphones in, totally unaware that the whole class could hear them. If you aren’t familiar with the books, you must read them! The first ones that came out are still my favorites and I think this one is my all time favorite! The video series is cute, but I think your child will enjoy it more if they are familiar with the books and characters.
The Super Simple Show: Counting and Numbers: Super Simple Songs has put together a few collections for Amazon by compiling their most popular videos/songs on subjects. This one focuses on counting and numbers, making it the perfect pick for toddlers or preschoolers! This Super Simple Show focuses on space and planets and this one focuses on animals. There are so many to choose from that you will definitely find one that interests your little one.
Lisa Loeb, Nursery Rhyme Parade: This feels just like a little music class! This video features nursery rhymes and I feel it goes at a slower pace, which is great for toddlers.
Reading Rainbow: Come on, y’all have to remember Reading Rainbow! In elementary school it was the best day ever to roll in the TV cart from the library and watch Lavar Burton! Seasons 1-4 are included with your prime membership! These videos are better for elementary aged students. You can tell them about your elementary glory days and see if you still know every word to the theme song.
Sid the Science Kid: If you have a little one that loves science, they will love this show! It promotes exploration and teaches science topics like the five senses, growing and science tools. Season 1 is included with your prime membership!
