Today I am teaming up with a few friends to share some free under the sea learning ideas. You can scroll down to the bottom of this post to see all of the freebies! Summer is the perfect time to enjoy some ocean themed learning including this Under the Sea Graph.
Graphing is a great math skill for little ones because it so concrete, hands-on and helps them practice many different concepts. Littles will be so excited for this fun graphing activity! Here are a few math skills that it will hit:
- Counting
- One to one correspondence
- Math vocabulary (more, less)
- Comparison of quantities
- Data collection and organization
Under the Sea Graph Directions:
- Download the free printable by clicking HERE or accessing it inside my Free Resource Library. Print it on white copy paper.
- Have your child color and graph each of the sea animals in the picture! If you are doing this with younger kids, I recommend these!
- Ask your child a few questions about their graph. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- How many dolphins did you find?
- How many sea turtles did you find?
- How many jellyfish did you find?
- How many fish did you find?
- What animal did you find the most of?
- What animal did you find the least of?
- How many sea animals are there in all?
- What other animals might live in the ocean?
