Raise your hand if you are ready for spring! ME! I can’t wait for some spring weather and learning. One of my favorite animals to learn about in the springtime are frogs. Most children have seen a frog at some point and they are truly fascinating animals! Here are some ideas for frog learning stations at home or in the classroom.
Frog ABC Order
Alphabetizing words (to the second letter) is a skill learned in first grade. This is great practice and an opportunity to discuss vocabulary too! You cab grab this resource for free in my free resources library HERE.
Punctuation Hop
When little ones start reading, they also start learning to recognize different punctuation marks and when to use each one. For this station, students will read the sentence and decide what punctuation is needed at the end.
Frog Books
Also, there are lots of fun frog books! Here are my non-fiction favorites that would be appropriate for younger learners:
Frog Life Cycle Craft
Life cycles are great practice for sequencing! Kids will love coloring and sequencing the frog life cycle and making a frog craft to display it on!
Frog Writing
Finally, writing is such a great way for your little one to share all of the things that they have learned!
All of these activities and more are available in my Teachers Pay Teachers Shop.
