Thankful Alphabet
I have been doing this Thanksgiving writing activity since my first year of teaching! This activity is fun for children (and adults) of all ages! Challenge your little ones to think of something they are thankful for using each letter of the alphabet! This activity can also be completed as a class or a family if you have little ones that aren’t quite writing yet! If you are in the classroom, this would be a great addition to a writing center or morning activity!
You can download and print this Thankful Alphabet for free in my Teachers Pay Teachers Store. Be sure to follow me while you are there so you don’t miss any of my teaching resources!
How to Use Thankful Alphabet Thanksgiving Writing
Here are a few ideas for using this activity:
- Send it home with families to complete over the Thanksgiving holiday break
- Use it as a quick morning work activity
- Add it to your writing station
- Use it as your writing workshop activity
- Have students turn their ideas into complete sentences to practice writing. For example, if a student wrote the word “family” for the letter F they could write the sentence, ” i am thankful for family.”
