It’s hard to believe that tomorrow this classroom will be filled with 18 precious first graders! It’s also hard to believe that I will be kicking off my fifth year of teaching! Where does the time go? I have been working like crazy to get everything ready, but I wanted to pop in and share a few photos of my classroom! Enjoy! : )
I love how my door and entry turned out! The sign on my door can be purchased and customized here. The bright colored tickets were (of course) printed on Astrobright paper.
Right outside of my door, I have this bulletin board set up for pictures. There is a tiny little step stool for the kids to stand on for their picture. The bucket has different photo props for the first day of school. Again, Astrobrights paper for the win!
I love the tissue pom pom balls above my small group table. They come in every color imaginable to match your classroom!
This wall included my word wall, circus number posters, thinking maps and literacy station choices. The polkadot flags came from here, here, here and here. I bought a pack in each color and then glued them to a ribbon.
On my easel, I have my “1st Grade” page from my Teacher Autobiography. I love reading it on the first day of school! My students love to see me when I was in the first grade too!
The days of the week and month posters can be found here. The reading connection posters can be found here.
I met most of my sweet students last week at Meet the Teacher and handed out these little gifts. Read more about them here. The cotton candy was a hit!
I love this circus themed cupcake stand for displaying my wish list!
I wish you a great first day of school! Don’t forget about one day only Teachers Pay Teachers Sale happening TOMORROW! It’s the perfect time to load up your cart with amazing resources for the new school year.
