Patriot Day occurs on September 11 of each year. It is a day that we remember those who lost their lives in the horrific terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. It is also a great day to show love and appreciation to police officers, firefighters and other first responders. I created these letter pages for my students to draw or write a message to our community heroes. I hope that you will be able to use them in your classroom to honor your own local heroes too.

Since October is Fire Safety month. I usually save most of my firefighter crafts and activities, but this is a favorite just in case you are teaching about firefighters and fire safety now!
