LOVEVERY Play Guide

In my opinion, the play guide is one of the most valuable things included with the LOVEVERY gym. It details the product and has a full year of ideas for how to play, backed by all the research on your baby’s development.

New parents will love all of the great ideas included in the play guide and learning how to use the different zones. You feel like you have the help of child development experts right at your fingertips! The play guide is also high quality and can withstand being mouthed by your baby. I’m speaking from experience here! 

LOVEVERY Development Zones

Around the edge of the activity mat, you will find five different development zones with activities that foster exploration and growth. Each of these zones can be closed off by folding them down as well. These can be used as tummy time stations and each zone features baby-safe materials. The zones are labeled and detailed in the play guide. 

Learn to Focus Zone

This is one of my favorite developmental zones. It allows your baby to work on their visual development skills. High-contrast cards and other pictures are included with the LOVEVERY gym for your baby to enjoy. High-contrast black-and-white cards are included will keep your baby’s attention! This zone has two clear pockets for the included cards to slide into or you can even use your own pictures!

Exploring Colors Zone

The soft color tabs in this zone are high quality and encourage little ones to strengthen their neck muscles and check them out!

Making Sounds Zone

What baby doesn’t love making sounds and exploring cause and effect? The making sounds zone has tons of crinkly paper, so even fairly young babies will be able to delight in hitting the mat and making noise! Once your baby is a little older, they will love discovering two squeakers hidden in this area!

How Things Feel Zone

This part of the play mat has different textures for little ones to touch. Babies need to explore different textures to develop their sense of touch and learn about the environment around them.  These different sensory strands are simple and fun for babies to play with. 

Hiding and Finding Zone

This section of the mat helps little ones develop object permanence. There is a hidden ring that comes in and out of the pocket. This section of the mat was enjoyed by my daughter when she was about 7-8 months old. 

Pros of the LOVEVERY Play Gym

Here are a few of my favorite features of this play mat:

• It’s very aesthetically pleasing and I didn’t mind it being on the living room floor! Even with its fun, bright colors it still felt beautiful and not “cheesy” like many of the other baby toys on the market.
• It is research-backed and expert created. LOVEVERY is one of my favorite companies because you can count on them to do the research on your baby’s development for you! They have an amazing team and really understand the baby’s learning stages!
• The hanging educational toys can be taken off the wooden arches and played with on the go! The organic cotton teether was a favorite of my daughters and we regularly took it with us to restaurants and on walks! 
• It’s pretty easy to assemble and no tools were needed. I am very limited on my assembling abilities and only took a few minutes to set up out of the box.

Cons of the LOVEVERY Play Gym

Here are a few cons of the play gym based on my own experiences and other LOVEVERY play gym reviews:

• The wooden legs aren’t exactly soft and little ones can roll into them or as they become more mobile. This didn’t happen to my children but other LOVEVERY play gym reviews mentioned it so I definitely wanted to include it as something to be aware of.
• It’s one of the more expensive infant activity gyms on the market and currently can only be purchased from the LOVEVERY website. 
• It is a larger play mat and with all of the zones opened it measures 23.9 inches high x 50 inches wide x 47 inches long. Even though it’s not hard to disassemble it, you won’t want to do it regularly. So you will want to make sure that you have a place in your home where you can leave it out and mostly together. 
• At first glance, this is a higher price tag item. However, it will be used for a whole year of play…at least and the quality is so good that it can be used for multiple babies! It is also a high-demand item and can be resold down the road. to help offset the initial cost.
• At this time individual items can’t be purchased to go with the play gym, so if you lose an item…you are out of luck.

What age is the Lovevery Play Gym suitable for?

The Lovevery Play Gym is designed for infants from birth to 12 months old, with different activities and toys to stimulate their senses and promote their development as they grow. However, a place space cover is also included that can be used over the wooden arches to create a play fort structure that older babies and children will love too! 

Is the Lovevery Play Gym safe for my baby?

Yes, the Lovevery Play Gym is designed with safety in mind. It uses non-toxic materials and conforms to all safety standards. The gym is also designed with a unique overhead bar system that keeps hanging toys within reach but safely keeps them attached.

The Lovevery Play Gym is designed to promote and support your baby’s development in various ways. It can also be used after your baby is a stable sitter. 

Is the Lovevery Play Gym easy to set up and clean?

Yes, the Lovevery Play Gym is easy to set up and clean. It comes with clear instructions and requires no tools to assemble. Within a few minutes of opening the box, my little one was able to enjoy playing on the mat! It can’t be folded up without unscrewing the wooden legs though. 

The gym is also easy to clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. The activity mat can go in the washing machine along with the Montessori ball. Before washing it, just be sure to close the attachment loops on all 3 corners. Wash it in cold water on the gentle or delicate cycle and air dry, Do not put it in the machine to dry.

Also, make sure to press the squeakers in the Making Sounds Zone several times to remove any excess water from them after washing.

The wooden and plastic components should not be washed in the machine but can be wiped down with a damp cloth as needed.

Can the Lovevery Play Gym be used for twins or multiple babies?

Yes, the Lovevery Play Gym is designed for use with one or multiple babies. The overhead bar system can accommodate multiple toys and accessories, and the mat is large enough to accommodate multiple babies. However, as always you must supervise babies closely during playtime to ensure their safety.

My toddler and baby also enjoyed playing on this mat together even though they are in different age groups and developmental stages.
